Wondering if there are any other kayakers going to fish much this summer. Hope I can join a group if you going out to fish.

Fished mornings on the south end. Best fish was in the little cove on West side near the stack of boat sheds off Highland Village Rd.
Not real sure where the best fishing or areas away from the ski / boaters.

Send me a PM if you want to meet up to fish. I'm very much a newbie as far as fishing / kayaking.

I would love to join you but all my Yak fishing is usually at night Monday and Tuesday. I might be able to get with you for a short float at the crack of dawn...ie 5 am to about 8 am, but will have to plan that a couple days in advance. Its one of the down sides to being on the night shift!

I usually don't fish it as much during the summer but if I go, I will post up here.

Try up in those deeper coves with all the stickups by Little Elm. Should be some fish up there and very few jet fleas.

You drive a black Toyota? Just saw one going down Hundley with a red T120 on top.

I dont think that was her if I remember correctly, but then I have ran into a lot of folks with Kayaks over the last three weeks or so. I think Bassn' Boots is using a moss green Angler Eddition Pelican Castaway with the cool little DIY yak cart. But then maybe I am getting old and senilety is starting to set in and I have lost my mind...but lets not go there, Laughing .

Ok, so if you see me pushing around in Lewsville area, with my yak, I'll have my 2008 Pelican sitting on top of my black suburban. Love them both.

I hope to make a run on the lake next week. Anyone game for Monday or Tueday, early.

Recupping from my trip on the Brazos. Fishing was not possible. Water was moving way to fast, 4 - 7 mph with 10 feet above stage and 1 flood gate open from Thur - Monday. Man was the paddling fun.

I'm due to catch some fish. 0 - 2 for last runs on the water.

I think I could probably do monday with you if you want to toss the Yaks in. I want to either fish that spot you mentioned in highland village or possibly around dock #4 at Eagle Point Marina.

I am not sure if I can still put in close to that dock since the water has come up a bit without wading a couple feet out. My interest in dock #4 is last night I had a 6 inch Blue Gill violently ripped from the hook (Just about yanked the heavy rod wedged under the dock and on a leash into the water!) last night Shocked . What ever it was was pretty big and some how managed to not find the hook.

Let em know what works for you!
